Snack time is part of our daily schedule. PHCP preschool parents will provide individual snacks for their children. Snacks should be child-friendly, ready to eat and nutritious such as fruit, vegetables, crackers, cheese, etc. Parents provide the individual snack for their own child, along with a water bottle each day. Children are encouraged to try their snack, but it is their choice to eat or not. No candy or similar products. We are a nut free school. Snacks should be easily opened and able to be eaten in 15-20 minutes.
The parent group offers individual ice cream cups that are available for birthday celebrations. Staff will make sure the treats are delivered to your child’s classroom at their designated snack time. See parent group for more information.
Suggested Snacks
Thank you in advance for providing healthy foods for our students. We encourage you to bring fresh fruit or vegetables whenever possible. Homemade items are welcome, but please be sure NOT to use nuts, nut extract or nut oils in your cooking and baking for school. The following are some ideas for snacks, but please feel free to be creative.

It is always fun for our kids when we celebrate their birthdays in class. The Parent Group will provide an ice cream party for your child on request.
