Plymouth Haven Christian Preschool nurtures the early years by providing a balanced and well-planned program. This is accomplished through a curriculum of age appropriate experiences supported by early childhood education for the development of the whole child. This includes providing varied and meaningful activities based on the child’s needs, interests and abilities.
Our program is delivered with purpose and provides challenge and support for successful learning as our teachers listen, observe, and interpret children’s behavior. Our teaching team coordinates school-wide thematic lessons, but each teacher brings her own creativity and unique experiences to the classroom. We plan for enriching, fun-filled, explorative days. This also includes sharing biblical truths and Christian values through classroom practices in prayer, Bible stories, scripture reference and weekly Chapel attendance.
We use a combination of proven programs to encourage a growing love for learning while laying a foundation for academic success. Our curriculum planning incorporates a fun, hands-on learning approach to letter and number recognition while building early reading and writing skills. Be assured we have fun in preschool, and there is a lot of play, but we play smart!
