Building Community
At Plymouth Haven we encourage parent involvement to ensure the success of each child’s preschool experience. A good parent-educator relationship is important to create a smooth and enjoyable transition into preschool for each child.
The PHCP Parent Group is made up of all PHCP parents and our mission is two-fold; to provide much needed fundraising and volunteer support for our school and to provide a space for fellowship and community. Each school year, the Parent Group hosts a wide variety of exciting events and activities. A few highlights include:
- Welcome Back Night Pizza Party
- Fall Festival
- Christmas Cookie Exchange
- Teacher Appreciation Celebrations
- Spring Spectacular
Get Involved
We hope that each family will commit to volunteering for at least two activities or events during the school year. Volunteer opportunities vary in the amount of time and type of commitment. We are happy to help you find something that will work with your schedule and availability. Our children need our help in order to make these special events possible!
The Parent Group holds monthly meetings to discuss upcoming school activities, events, fundraisers and volunteer opportunities. In addition, these meetings are an opportunity for us to get to know each other better as well as provide a constructive outlet for concerns and suggestions about our preschool.
